What the actual f**k is Lonely Hearts Film Camp?!
Lonely Hearts Film Camp (LHFC) is the brainchild of Andrew and Grace at Bottlebrush Films. We figured there were plenty of workshops out there for wedding photographers but not nearly enough for wedding filmmakers (WTF is that all about)?! This good thing is the most one-of-a-kind and impactful Workshops for Wedding Filmmakers in the world. 4 Days and 4 nights of mischief, mayhem, inspiration and education alongside wedding filmmakers from Australia and around the world. In summary, good times shall be had by all.
Where We Camping At?!
Firstly, we’re not actually camping. We’ll all be bunking down in shared Summer Camp dorm-style accommodation, and that’s the beauty of it all. We’ll be living together, eating together and learning together - experiencing all that camp has to offer 24/7 with amazing fellow creatives and our top notch educators. Taking place at the kickass and quintessentially Australian venue ‘Weddings In The Wilde’ approximately 2 hours south of Sydney, the venue is set amongst hectares of untouched native bushland and features epic valley views, bush walks, a Palm-Springs style Pool, a Teepee where all sorts of magic happens (if you know, you know, and if you don’t know just ask Matt Johnson!) plus an outdoor inflatable cinema screen - it even has a flippin’ mini-golf course. Now your sleeping arrangements may not be the Taj Mahal, but the space is geared towards community and chill vibes which is what our camp is all about. Once you’ve purchased your ticket to LHFC you’ll also have the opportunity to let us know if there is anyone in particular you’d like to bunk with which we shall of course make happen
What’s Included?!
Aside from our roster of amazing speakers and educators you mean?!
Your ticket to LHFC includes ALL MEALS AND ACCOMMODATION for the duration of Camp! Beginning with Dinner on the Sunday night (19th) and ending with Recovery Brekky on Thursday morning (23rd). We’ll also be providing afternoon tea most days, but drinks and snacks are BYO so you can load up on all the chippies and beer your heart desires (the nearest major supermarket is 20 minutes down the road at Moss Vale, NSW).
You won’t miss any speakers or have to pick and choose between them, your ticket ensures access to all keynote presentations, smaller breakout workshops and panel Q&As. Aside from all this there’ll be all sorts of crazy shiz happening, from Welcome Games to Pizza Night, Outdoor Cinema Night, random ‘let’s get fked up nights’ and a Final Night Wrap Party you won’t forget. Basically you’ll have a really. nooooice. time.
And don’t worry, we’ll send you out a schedule of whats on the agenda for each day of Camp closer to the event.
What Do I Bring?!
Snacks, drinks, your camera and an open mind (don’t worry we’ve got you covered on the pen and notepad front). Oh, plus a towel and bathers (there’s a low key pool at this joint!). This isn’t school camp team - you do you. You can drink whenever you like and treat this as a bit of a self-love holiday too, we want you to leave feeling pumped to push your business and creativity to new heights, but we also want you to leave feeling relaxed after your mini-week spent making new life long mates.
How Do I Get There?!
Lonely Hearts Film Camp will be held at ‘Weddings In The Wilde’ (also known as Fitzroy Falls Conference & Adventure Centre) located in Wildes Meadow, NSW, Australia.
It is just under a 2 hour drive from Sydney Airport.
We recommend renting a car at the airport or carpooling with new friends and fellow campers! There is a facebook group for exactly that purpose, DM us to get in on the action!

Is Camp for Beginner Or Advanced Filmmakers?!
Both! LHFC was created with both beginner and advanced filmmakers in mind, so everyone is welcome no matter what ‘level’ you’re at. Whether you’re looking for help to get your business off the ground or after inspiration and motivation to take your already epic situation to the next level, our speakers will cover both. Don’t need anymore education? Come along anyway! Crack a beer or have a coffee, enjoy the company and surrounds, stay for the lit times and leave with some amazing new industry friends who you’ll keep long after this thing is over. Community over competition - it sounds corny but it’s what this camp is all about.
